4th of July Weekend

We are both so exhausted but it was worth it to have a fun weekend. I want to start out by saying Thank You to the men and women out fighting so we can enjoy a day like the 4th.


Not only were we celebrating our Nations freedom, we were also celebrating Leanna's 18th Birthday. We enjoyed our time with her and the family. Before she went off with her friends, we went bowling. Evan was so good while we bowled. He slept the entire time. After Matt's dad kicked out butt's, we went back to the house and had a yummy BBQ. The ice cream cake was extra yummy!

We never made it to the big fireworks because we were just too tired to drive. We normally drive into Nephi to watch them because hardly anyone goes there and it beats driving there to avoid the traffic in Provo. We got to see some fireworks at the Stadium of Fire since we live pretty close to BYU so we didn't miss them entirely. Today was another eventful day. My sister Ellen was baptized. My brother Ammon was the one that performed the Baptism and my Dad confirmed her.



I had the opportunity to sing "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" with my sisters and Ammon's girlfriend. We had a celebration in her honor by having another yummy BBQ. Later on we went swimming. All my family (Felts) minus Dad, Nathan and Elizabeth came. It was a blast! Evan was just too funny. We put him in his floaty and he just takes off! We had a hard time keeping up with him if we were laying or siting in the water. Take a look!

Sand Dunes

On the spur of the moment, Matt wanted to ride out to the sand dunes. We got our cousins Steven and Kevin to come with us. We first stopped to get a yummy dinner before we headed out to the middle of no where. When we got there, we had the whole place to ourselves.



Evan was a little unsure about the new feel of sand but shortly decided he loved it.




He just wanted to crawl everywhere





It looked like he was going to tumble down that hill. He was trying to get to his Daddy.

While I was playing with Evan, the boys had fun jumping off the hills, rolling around, playing king of the hill and just being goof balls.




The Icee's we had on the way home were so good after playing out on the sand. We had a lot of fun with Kevin and Steven.

Grass

Like most babies, Evan hates the grass! He loves to eat it and maybe even sit in it but when his head hits it, it's a different story. I could tell you what he does but it's better to show you.

Richard Marx

Last night Matt and I went to the Richard Marx concert. This was mine and Matt's second time seeing him and he was just as good as the first time we saw him a year ago. He had a few stories that were the same but a lot of new things. He's just a great entertainer. I'm glad we got to go a second time to watch him.

Earlier in the day we took Evan to the pool. Matt has been out of town the entire week so it was really nice to have fun with him after a long absence from him. Leanna came with us so that way we were able to enjoy all the amenities that the Provo Pool offers, like the slides. We took turns going down them and I couldn't believe how fun they were! Since this was the third time I took Evan to the pool this last week, he's gotten used to it so he LOVES the water now. He's become such a water baby. Before we even set foot in the pool, he get's so excited when he sees the water.

Splash

I took this from my phone so it's not the greatest quality but Evan was so cute in the water so I video taped a little bit of it. He was a little hesitant in the water at first because he's not used to cooler water but once he got used to it he was a happy boy. He had an interest with my knee for some reason. He zonked out just 5 mins after putting him in his car seat and wouldn't wake up for anything when I got him home. We had lots of fun with Aunt Elizabeth and Amy. We should do this more
often.

Peek-A-Boo!

Freedom!

Evan loves his new freedom. This is the first mess he made. He found the taffy in a basket by the couch and loved thowing it all over the floor before playing with the bag.

Nothing Safe!

Evan finally figured out how to crawl today so nothing is safe!

Dancing Queen

We were invited to attend my baby sisters dance recital tonight. I just went because Matt is out of town in Indiana or else he would have came. He called me in the middle of it telling me that a Tornado hit 20 miles from him and there are warnings in his area. That's not exactly what I wanted to hear but I know he is safe so I'm not frantic like I was when I first heard.
Ellen's dances were so cute and she did awesome! Evan loved the music but wasn't happy if we cheered out in anyway. Let's hope he gets used to that. I wish I had pictures of her in her dance outfit but I kind of left in a hurry so I could take care of Evan.
