When Matt is home to help put Evan to bed he aways asks Evan to count to 10 in German. Matt loves the German language so he's teaching Evan.

I had to google the numbers because I don't even know them but I wanted to document what he did next. I asked him to count to 10 in English. I would normally say count to 10 or 20 and he will recite what I tell him too. Instead of saying One, Two, Three

Evan has become a very mature boy for his age. The choices he's making are just awesome! He's learning that when Mommy or Daddy tell him something, they mean it, and he obey's. Makes it nice for when we're out and we're not running around after him. His safty is so important, especially these days.
Thats a huge plus but the best thing is that he loves the scriptures. The first thing he loves to do after waking up is reading/watching the scriptures. I put in his choice of DVD and he takes his book and follows along. He's gotten through the Childrens Book of Mormon three times now. We're really proud of him.

Alex is 4 Months!

Alex turned 4 months on the 11th!

He had his 4 month check up this morning.
Weight: 14.46 LB 40th Percentile
Length: 25.85 Inches 81st Percentile
Head Circumference: 16 Inch 13th Percentile

Evan at that age

Weight: 13lb 2oz - 12th Percentile
Length: 25.40" - 66th Percentile
Head Circumference: 41.5 cm - 25th Percentile

Alex had his first taste of Baby Cereal. He' not a fan but he eats it.

He no longer needs to be swaddled :). Now we just need to get rid of his binky.

Alex loves playing with his older brother and Evan doesn't mind it either.


Alex can roll from his back to tummy like a champ. He can roll from tummy to back as well but not as often. These pictures were taken as he did it for the first time.




Evan loves Alex! I catch him often holding his hand while in the car.

Play Date, Labor Day, Bowling

I need to get updated with this blog so there will be a few events tied into one post.

A friend of mine came over with her son that's the same age as Alex. Alex is a week older to be exact. He's a little cutie and I enjoyed having him and his mommy over. We'll have these little play dates often. We got pictures of them together.

Alex was too eager to be on stomach.
I couldn't get them to look at me at the same time.
They finally looked at me but Alex spits up! His face make me laugh!


Labor Day was a very fun day. The best part was Matt being able to spend it with us. We took advantage of it and did things we've been wanting to do for a long time. The first thing we did was hike the Y. I never did it before so the first two turns I thought I wouldn't be able to make it. I'm not used to the high altitude of Utah compared to California so it was hard to breath and my throat was hurting. It was chilly but perfect weather for hiking. We almost turned back but I'm glad we didn't. I had to keep telling myself to keep going. Once we got up there and rested a little bit, Matt had me lay on the Y but with my head toward the valley. Freaky but really cool!





I thought going down would be sinch compared to going up but it was just as hard. It was a lot faster but very hard on the knees but I will do it again in a heartbeat.
After the boys napped we went to the Latin Festival. We had some yummy drinks and Evan rode a little Train. He's into trains since Matt took out his Mini Train Set for Evan. Him wanting to ride it did surprise us though because he was "too scared" to ride things like this on the 24th of July.


After walking the Festival for a little bit we went shopping. Had to get new shoes for Matt and Evan. Before we left the mall we let the kids ride on one of their rides.


Than we went to Pirate Island for dinner. We heard it was better than Chuck-E-Cheese and the rumors were very true! It was like walking into something in Disney Land. The restaurant is away from the arcade so we could eat first and the food was 100 times better. It was a full reasonably priced menu so there wasn't just pizza but Evan did order some. It was delicious! The arcade was even better. It was so much fun watching Evan win big with this one game. You release the coin and it had to drop inside a dump truck and he got them in 98% of the time. We tried it but we weren't as successful as him for some reason but I did manage to get one into a bonus slot and got 100 tickets. Instead of Evan saying he wants to go to Chuck-E-Cheese he says Pirates now and we're ok with that :). Sorry there's no pictures.
Over the weekend we took the boys bowling. It was Evan's second time but this time he got to do it all by himself with little help from Daddy. He had a lot of fun and keeps asking to go again.

Michael & Julie

Michael and Julie were married in the LDS Mount Timpanogos Temple on September 4, 2010.
It was a beautiful sealing and a wonderful reception.
Events leading up to the day were family coming into town and instead of a wedding luncheon, they had dinner at the Marriott Hotel. Their potatoes were so yummy!! Afterwards we went to Laser Assault where they had their first date and played two 30minute games. First game was Thompson vs. Deloura (+ Michael) and second was girls vs. guys. The Deloura's and girls won! The girls only won because we had two advantages. The guys had lights on their sensors so we can see them better and when ever they hit their own team mates, we would get points. I wish we could have played a fair game because I think our teams were evenly matched. The guys didn't know about these advantages so they were confused as to why their sensors had lights and we were beating them so easily. It was funny but it still would have been better to play a fair game. Matt and I want to get friends together and play again because it was a lot of fun!

Evan really wanted to go into the Temple. I remember wanting to go in so badly at that age as well.


I found Alex's suit online and since Alex is wearing 6-9 month clothes, at almost 4 months, I got the 12 month size so he could wear it longer. I kid you not, the dress shirt that it came with was too small for him and the vest fit him perfectly. The pants were long so I had to temporarily hem them. The shirt that he's wearing is from Evan's 18 month suit. The arms were just a little long for him but other than that, it fit him. Alex is growing too fast for me! We got him a tie to match all the guys. I love it that they make ties that small.



Evan was running around everywhere of course. I'm glad I got these of him because he wouldn't be in the group shots unless we were holding him. Even than he wasn't cooperating.
